Dane’s book “Gentle and Lowly” has been hailed by many as the book of the year. It’s an exploration into the heart of Jesus, based on the text of Matthew 11:29 where Jesus says "I am gentle and lowly in heart.” Dane is a humble, wise, encouraging person. He really wants us to believe that Jesus deeply loves us despite our faults and flaws and failures. And he wants to help us minister the gentle grace of Jesus more intentionally to the burdened, heavy, tired souls in our churches.
